Volunteer at NC Folk Festival (8/14/2018)

The North Carolina Folk Festival is a FREE, 3-day outdoor celebration of cultural roots and heritage held annually in downtown Greensboro. The festival features performances and demonstrations by the finest musicians, dancers and craftspeople on multiple stages. The event takes place September 7-9, but there's a LOT that needs to happen beforehand to get ready for the performers and crowds. You can be a part of making the magic happen by joining the set-up crew or office volunteer team. Volunteers are needed both before and during the Festival.

American Cancer Society Volunteer Opportunities (8/14/2018)

Two opportunities to volunteer with the American Cancer Society

- The Road to Recovery program gives patients much needed rides. Cancer patients are not uniformly receiving timely high quality care - they are not starting on time and not completing treatment. This is an urgent issue, demanding that the American Cancer Society focus more resources on improving access to care.

- Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a 3-5 mile walk each October to come together in Greensboro for a powerful and inspiring experience to honor and celebrate Breast Cancer Survivors. This event raises awareness and support for programs and research for people with Breast Cancer.
